About Amir

I'm a St. Catharines resident, a parent, a community volunteer, and a technology professional with more than 15 years of experience in software and technology.

Throughout my career, I have worked on complex systems, led technical teams, solved difficult problems, and made decisions based on data, cost, risk, and measurable results. I want to bring that same practical approach to the school board.

How my technology experience can help

Technology is becoming a bigger part of education every year. School boards are making decisions about digital learning tools, artificial intelligence, student data, cybersecurity, software contracts, and millions of dollars in technology spending. A trustee does not need to manage those systems — but trustees should understand the questions to ask. My technology background will help me:

  • Use data to identify problems rather than relying only on assumptions.
  • Measure whether programs are working and push for change when results are not improving.
  • Ask better questions about technology spending before the Board commits public money.
  • Protect student privacy and cybersecurity as schools use more online platforms and digital tools.
  • Approach AI in education responsibly — using its benefits while understanding its risks.
  • Look for practical efficiencies so more resources can remain focused on students and classrooms.

What I bring to the board

I'm not running because I believe I have every answer. I'm running because I know how to examine a problem, ask the right questions, understand the evidence, work with people who have different expertise, and stay focused on results.

Better decisions. Measurable results. A stronger education system for our students.
